POM Berlin 2021

Call for Track-Topics

Deadline Extended to 8 August, 2020.

Politics of the Machines
Rogue Research

The 3rd POM Conference
Einstein Center Digital Future
May 12-15, 2021

The call for the conference will take place in two phases. This first call is a ‘Call for Track-Topics’, and in the second phase a call for submissions of papers, workshops, artworks, performances etc. will follow.

At the moment you can submit a proposal for the ‘Call for track-topics’. If you have a topic that you would like to see as a track in the POM 2021 conference, please write and submit a short proposal. Please note that the track-topic submission should be written in a way that it is engaging also for others to submit in the second phase of the call.

We are particularly interested in topics that address the topic ‘Politics of the Machines – Rogue Research’ from an inter/trans/anti- or postdisciplinary perspective, as well as theory and research involving critical and experimental approaches (including practice-based, design or artistic methods).

Please note that when you submit a track topic you commit yourself to conference participation and acting as a track chair, thereby also contributing to reviewing submissions and organisation of your track, as well as moderating the sessions.

Please submit a proposal to become a track within the POM conference (max. 600 words) by August 8, 2020. We encourage teams to apply, but we ask that you please add one main contact person.

The call for actual papers and other submissions (Call for Submissions) to the tracks will be opened in Fall 2020.
All participation in POM Berlin will be free of charge, however, please keep in mind that we cannot provide financial support.
